Hello Manorites and welcome to the latest issue of your Reporter. In this issue you’ll find all your Chingford League results and reports of other cross country events that the club took part in. This was the muddiest cross country season for very many years!

There are also quite a few race reports sent in by members, both club fixtures and other races. Many thanks to those who have written reports – it’s great to hear different voices. Please do send me a report if you’ve been off somewhere doing a race. Remember to include a photo of that Eton Manor vest in an exotic location. Following our wonderful centenary year the club continues to grow, with new members coming in from various sources. The Love2run programme draws people in and Niala Ahmed tells us of her experience as a novice runner on p37. On the back page you’ll find the names and photos of the current Committee elected at the AGM in November. All club events take a lot of organising, so the more people that get involved the better. If you would like to help in any way then do let anyone on the committee know. The summer season will be starting with the Assembly league races from April and the Elvis League in May. It would be great to see lots of members coming to these events, and maybe even having a little social time afterwards! League races aren’t just for the faster runners. All club members are welcome, and the more runners we have out for a race the better. You might not win, but you might push a rival club a little further down the list. We’re a sociable and very friendly club and the Christmas “do” and the Baton Relay are covered in this issue. Memories may be a little hazy for one reason or another, so there are pictures too. Talking of socialising, Tuesdays at the club can sometimes seem a little male-heavy if you’ll pardon the phrase, so we’ve introduced Tuesday Night is Ladies Night on the 1st Tuesday of every month. It’s proving to be a great success, so come along ladies… And following training on the 2nd Thursday of the month, join your fellow club members at the Hare and Hounds on Lea Bridge Road for a drink and/or a bite to eat. Enjoy your Reporter and remember to let me know if there’s anything you would like to see included. Happy running and, of course, Up the Manor! Alison Wells, Reporter editor
