The Eton Manor AC Autumn Handicap 5K returned on Tuesday 22 September 2026 at 7:00pm, bringing together runners from across the club for one of the most enjoyable and competitive fixtures in the calendar. Following the traditional handicap format, athletes set off at staggered intervals based on their forecast times, creating an exciting race where everyone had the opportunity to compete for the overall win.
The race took place over the club’s established 5K course around the Leyton Jubilee park area, offering participants a fast and scenic route on a pleasant autumn evening.
The first athlete to cross the finish line was Hein Gunnewicht, who completed the course in a net time of 24:58 to claim overall victory.
The first female finisher was Jane Pannell, who produced a strong run to finish fifth overall with a net time of 25:19.
The award for the fastest runner on the night went to Ethan Reeves, who recorded the quickest net time of 16:48, demonstrating exceptional speed around the course.
As always, the handicap format showcased the depth and inclusiveness of the club, with runners of varying abilities finishing in close succession and creating an exciting race from start to finish. Congratulations to all 25 participants who took part and helped make another memorable evening of racing.
